With Juli, Ekin (who came with a Turkish friend at his first experience), Alessio (who came with Verenia, a Southafrican neighbor at her first experience) Canan, Berk, Katibe, Nacho, we had a Service and a Well-being.

We could talk a lot with our new friends: they are really very sensitive..

We were breathing in the ‘salita’ the atmosphere of the ‘new sensibility’..

After the experiences, Ekin, his friend, Verenia and really all of us, we were very thankful each other, for the strong energy and the good and positive feeling we were sharing.

All our friends were feeling like not going away..

Verenia, from South Africa, is journalist and she works as reporter from Turkey, for an Iranian television. She has a lot of information and we could talk with her about a lot of interesting arguments, like the actual situation in the Middle Est..

The next day we traveled to Italy with Canan to participate in the Silos’ Message meeting in Attigliano Park.

Con Juli, Ekin (que llegó con un amigo da Turquia a su primera experiencia), Alessio (que llegó con Verenia, una vecina de Sudafrica a su primera experiencia), Canan, Berk, Katibe, Nacho, hicimos un Oficio y un Bienestar.

Pudimos hablar mucho con nuestros nuevos amigos, que son realmente muy sensibles ..

Estábamos respirando en la salita la atmósfera de la "nueva sensibilidad" ..

Después de las experiencias, Ekin, su amigo, Verenia y realmente todos nosotros, éramos muy agradecidos los unos con los otros, por la fuerte energía y las buenas y positivas sensaciones que estábamos compartiendo.

Todos nuestros amigos tenian una actitud como que no querían irse..

Verenia, de Sudáfrica, es periodista y trabaja como enviada desde Turquía, por una televisión Iraní. Ella tiene una gran cantidad de información y pudimos hablar con ella de muchos argumentos muy interesantes, como la situación actual en el Oriente Medio..

Al día siguiente viajamos a Italia con Canan para participar a la reunión del Mensaje en el Parque Attigliano.

20th of May, Well-being in Istanbul 20 de Mayo Bienestar en Estambul

With Handan (who was participating in the Silo’s Message in Ankara before her marriage in Puerto Rico) her husband, Nacho, Canan, Juli and Huseyin with a friend at his first experience, we had a Well-being, asking for Roberto Kohanoff's health.

Handan and her husband was very happy to be with us in that atmosphere, so warm and friendly!

Con Handan (que participava en el Mensaje en Ankara antes de su matrimonio en Puerto Rico) con su marido, Nacho, Canan, Julie y Huseyin con un amigo a su primera experiencia, hicimos una Bienestar, pidiendo por la salud de Roberto Kohanoff.

Handan y su marido estaban muy felices de estar con nosotros en ese ambiente tan cálido y acogedor!

17th of May, weekly meeting in Istanbul 17 de Mayo, reunion semanal en Estambul

A new friend, a young Turkish English student in the school where Juli teaches, came to the ‘salita’. With Juli, we presented to him, the Silo’s Message book, the book of the Parks, and we could talk about a lot of interesting and deep arguments. He looks like finding for something giving sense to the life...

Later Canan arrived with two young Turkish friends (from Sanat Cafè). They came the 4^th of May (celebration of the first Sio’s speech) and they returned today to the ‘salita’, to make their first experience with ceremonies.

So we had three new friends at their first experience. Before making the Service we could talk about freedom, violence, how to overcame the violence and what to do when we see violence around us.. So with this kind of open questions, we could present and share some experiences about some Principle, like the third (opportunity of action), the ninth (freedom), the tenth (solidarity)..

Canan made the Service (in Turkish, of course) and we finished hugging each other in a very nice, strong and comfortable, atmosphere..

Later we went all together to Sanat cafè, where we could talk and take a çay with a lot of other Canan’s friends.

Un nuevo amigo, joven, Turco y que estudia Inglés con Juli, llegó a la salita. Con Juli, le presentamos el libro del Mensaje, el libro de los Parques, y pudimos hablar de muchos argumentos interesantes y profundos. Parece que esté a la búsqueda de algo que da sentido a la vida..

Más tarde Canan llegó con dos jóvenes amigos turcos (del Sanat Cafè) que ya fueron el 4 de Mayo (celebración de la arenga del ‘69) y regresaron hoy a la salita, para hacer su primera experiencia con las ceremonias.

Así que tuvimos tres nuevos amigos haciendo su primera experiencia. Antes de realizar el Oficio pudimos hablar de la libertad, la violencia, cómo se puede sobrepasar a la violencia y qué hacer cuando vemos la violencia que nos rodea.. Así que con este tipo de preguntas abiertas, pudimos presentar y compartir algunas experiencias sobre alguno de los Principios, como el tercero (la acción oportuna), el noveno (la libertad), el décimo (la solidaridad)..

Canan hizo el Oficio (en Turco por supuesto) que terminamos abrazándonos unos a otros en una muy agradable, fuerte y cómoda atmosfera..

Más tarde fuimos todos juntos al Sanat cafè, donde pudimos hablar y tomar un çay con muchos otros amigos de Canan.

14th of May, Service in Istanbul 14 de Mayo Oficio en Estambul

With Alessio, Katy and Benjamin (Erasmus students from Normandy and Germany) we had the Service (in French) just when the police was shooting a lot of pepper gas in the streets around the ‘salita’..

Earlier Alessio was taking a çay with me in the ‘salita’, before going to an appointment with his friends. 

When he tried to go to meet them, a lot of protestors started to run in the streets near here.. 

The gas was increasing.. and in the confusion, Alessio’s friends ‘casually’ arrived just downstairs.. So Alessio invited them in the ‘salita’. 

They were afraid and tense.. So we proposed to make a Service! 

The situation was a little bit surreal.. but after making the Service the atmosphere between us was so good and charged of positive feeling, and the new friends and all of us, we were so happy!!

Con Alessio, Katy y Benjamin (estudiantes Erasmus de Normandía y Alemania) hicimos el Oficio (en francés) justo cuando la policia estaba disparando una gran cantidad de gas en las calles alrededor de la salita..

Precedentemente Alessio estaba tomando un çay conmigo en la salita, antes de ir a una cita con sus amigos. 

Cuando trató de ir para encontrarlos, una gran cantidad de manifestantes comenzó a correr en las calles cercanas.. El gas aumentaba.. y en la confusión, los amigos de Alessio 'casualmente' llegaron justo aquí debajo de l salita.. Así Alessio los invitó a subir. 

Tenían miedo y estaban tensos .. Así que propusimos hacer un Oficio! 

La situación era un poco surrealista.. pero después de hacer el Oficio la atmósfera entre nosotros era tan buena y cargada de sentimientos positivos.. y los nuevos amigos y todos nosotros, estábamos tan contentos!

10th May, weekly meeting in Istanbul 10 de Mayo, reunion semanal en Estambul

With Nacho, Juli, Canan, Huseyin, Alessio, Andrea and Dario we had the Service and the Well-being in a very friendly atmosphere.

Andrea and Dario, two italian Alessio’s friends, they are visiting Alessio in Istanbul for 5 days. They are already participating since 2 months in the Silo’s Message in Italy (in Torino’s 'salita') with another Alessio’s friend (Alessandro).

Later we went with Canan to the Sanat Cafè were is always possible to talk about very interesting arguments with a lot of young Turkish Canan’s friends.

Con Nacho, Juli, Canan, Huseyin, Alessio, Andrea y Dario, hicimos el Oficio y el Bienestar en una atmosfera muy amistosa.

Andrea y Dario, dos amigos italianos de Alessio, están visitando Alessio en Estambul durante 5 días. Ellos ya están participando desde hace 2 meses en el Mensaje de Silo en Italia (en la salita de Torino) con otro amigo de Alessio (Alessandro).

Más tarde fuimos con Canan al Sanat Cafè, donde siempre es posible conversar sobre argumentos muy interesantes con muchos jóvenes amigos Turcos de Canan.

4th of May Celebrating Silo's first public speech: photos and more comments 4 de Mayo, celebration de la primera arenga publica de Silo: fotos y más comentarios

As Juli wrote we gathered in the ‘salita’ with Nacho, Juli, Ana, Aylin, Huseyin, Abdullah (from Siria), Dani (from Brasil), Canan and 3 new Canan’s young Turkish friends.

One of Canan’s friend read the speech in Turkish. The atmosphere was very nice and after reading another of Canan’s friend said ‘I understand this is not a religion, I feel that here the most important think is the internal change and growth’.

After the new friends and Abdullah (who lives very far from the ‘salita’) have gone away, we sow the video in Spanish and we talked about a very important argument: the possibility of organizing some activity for the diffusion of Silo’s Message and to know new people. 

Huseyin proposed to organize an online campaign asking people to support and sign it.

Canan proposed to organize some event and big meeting about for example the non-violence in Yogurçu Park (a Park near the ‘salita’ were the past summer a lot of people was participating in big assemblies).

After having faced some difficulties of communication (that we could overcome together explaining better the different point of view and understanding better each other) we had the Service (Huseyin) and the Well-being (Aylin) with Nacho, Juli, Ana, Aylin, Huseyin, Dani and Canan.

Como escribió Juli nos reunimos en la salita con Nacho, Juli, Ana, Aylin, Huseyin, Abdullah (de Siria), Dani (de Brasil), Canan y 3 nuevos jóvenes amigos turcos de Canan .

Uno de los amigos de Canan leyò la arenga en Turco. La atmosfera era muy agradable y terminada la lectura, otro amigo de Canan dijo entre otras cosas: ‘Entiendo que esto no es una religión, me parece que aquí la cosa más importante es el cambio y el crecimiento interno’.

Después que los nuevos amigos y Abdullah (que vive muy lejos de la salita) se fueron, vimos el video en Español y hablamos de un argumento muy importante: la posibilidad de organizar algún tipo de actividad para la difusión del Mensaje de Silo y para conocer gente nueva.

Huseyin propuso de organizar una campaña online, pidiendo a la gente de apoyar y firmar.

Canan propuso de organizar algún evento o una gran reunión sobre por ejemplo el tema de la no-violencia en Yogurçu Park (un parque cerca de la salita adonde el pasado verano mucha gente participaba en grandes asambleas).

Después de haber enfrentado algunas dificultades de comunicación (que pudimos superar juntos, explicando mejor los diferentes puntos de vista y comprendiéndonos mucho mejor los unos con los otros) hicimos el Oficio (Huseyin) y el Bienestar (Aylin) con Nacho, Juli, Ana, Aylin, Huseyin, Canan y Dani.

4th of May Celebrating Silo's first public speech

On the 4th of May, we gathered in the salita with some old and new friends, Turkish and others from different countries were present. We were about 12 people. We started from 19.00 pm. Prepared some cookies and cay. In a certain moment when we were together in the salita one of our Turkish friend was reading the speech in Turkish. After some technical struggle we could manage to watch the video and listen the speech given by Silo, in Spanish. Later we had some very unique moments what made me think that there is still a lot to understand and deepen experiences about this speech and the Message.
At late we made some ceremonies and spent nice moments together and we have faced some great difficulties as well.

Finally today, with the help of some friends we have the video, subtitled in Turkish.

With Juli, Aylin, Nacho, Alessio, and a new friend, we had a very good Service guided form Alessio in italian.

Alessio’s friend was very happy and he said he will come to the Salita on Sunday for the celebration of the 4^th may.
